Human Resources
This project was co-founded by aquabench clients who wished to analyse further their human resources functions within the framework of a benchmarking. The implementation of the human resources benchmarking lies with the Hamburg Management Consultancy of Baumgarten & Partner, who have long experience with benchmarking in human resources management and who can access the human resources key data of numerous notable groups and DAX companies.
The tasks of the human resources departments of the participants are reproduced completely within the framework of the project, whereby the peculiarities of the circle of participants from companies with involvement and former involvement in regulation under public law are taken into account. At the same time, the comparability with participants from the private sector is assured.
The process model takes into account the focus processes of settlement of remuneration, personnel administration, time management, development of human resources and recruiting. A comprehensive cost assessment here has shown that the overall cost of all human resources processes within the circle of participants is € 1,500 per supervised active member of staff. With this it is interesting that, in the survey year 2007, there exists no correlation between the complexity of a concern and these overall costs. The complexity is calculated according to a point model and takes into account in all 33 different “complexity drivers” such as, for example, the number of locations with human resources (partial) functions, number of staff absent due to sickness, number of health insurances, proportion of executive and proportion of employee part time employment prior to retirement.
In the already second project year 2008, in addition to the analysis of the results of the focus processes, the subjects of demographic development and development of human resources were discussed at the two-day assessment event.
