Corporate Benchmarking For Wastewater

In the water and wastewater industry, a distinction is made between benchmarking process and corporate benchmarking (as is made in the Benchmarking Guide of the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA) and the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW) from the first half of 2005).
aquabench GmbH had already developed and implemented corporate benchmarking under the title “Control performance indicators for prime contractors" in 2003. We have been calling our product “Corporate Benchmarking for Wastewater" as it has been named in the Associations’ Guide since 2005.
In contrast to process benchmarking, this product is targeted at decision-makers and provides:
- Situation assessments and continuous verification of the achievement of goals
- Orientation towards the performance indicator model of the IWA
- Support of the internal controlling processes
- Basis for communication with supervisory board authorities and the public
The product focuses on the observation of performance indicators in the core processes of water supply and wastewater disposal supplemented by supporting processes and optional business.
The types of costs of the company as a whole are recorded at various process levels.
Input values are classified at several levels according to the type of costs and process level.
Performance Indicators: What is my Focus?
All input values can be evaluated individually. Each participant additionally has access to the performance indicators of the standard report:

- quality / reliability of waste disposal

A detailed analysis is made according to the comprehensive positioning.
